This primitive camping reserve, located in the tiny community of Taylors Arm and across the road from the famous Pub with no Beer, charges a fee for camping of $5 per site; it is an honour system and the fee is payable at the Pub with no Beer. Taylors Arm is 35 minutes by car from Macksville on the Mid North Coast of N.S.W.
There is no booking system for individual sites. If the Reserve is at its capacity (all 5 campsites taken), you will have to go and find an alternative spot to stay elsewhere. It does not happen too often that the Reserve is at capacity, but it can happen!
To avoid disappointment, you can ring the Pub with no Beer (02 6564 2100) and enquire about the current occupancy situation before you drive up the mountain.
Ground fires are NOT allowed within the reserve, there is a dedicated, covered BBQ area (firewood not provided, firewood to be collected or brought with you). Basic toilets are available, the reserve does NOT have any showers. However, for a small fee you can use the showers at the Pub with no Beer. There is NO dump point.
There is a little playground for the children, and there are tennis courts, these can be hired at the Pub With No Beer for a small fee ($ 6.60 /hour in October 2017) A cricket pitch is also available.
Large groups can pre-book the entire Taylors Arm Reserve, special conditions apply. Please contact one of the committee members on (02) 6564 2175 or (02) 6564 2220 to discuss the options.
